Fort Halifax Chapter, NSDAR, Daughters were in colonial dress along with other groups at Fort Halifax Park. We sold homemade bread and cookies; shared our chapter scrapbooks and had people sign a poppy to be added to the Poppy Wall.
Cathedral of the Pines
Fort Halifax Chapter, NSDAR, Daughters traveled to New Hampshire for the annual Memorial Service at the beautiful Cathedral of the Pines.
Elizabeth Dyar Grave Dedication
Fort Halifax Chapter, NSDAR, Daughters traveled to Freeman, Maine, to attend the 2018 rededication of the plaque for this remarkable woman. The plaque was placed by Maine State Council, DAR, in 1923, in Freeman, Maine.

American History
Our chapter awards students who participate in the DAR American History Essay Contest. We also select the annual “Jennie Paine Howard Outstanding History Student Award”, named for a chapter charter member.
