Patriotism
DAR members observe Constitution Week by ringing bells at 4 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Constitution Day, September 17th, obtaining proclamations from our cities and towns, creating displays in schools, libraries, courthouses, and other public areas, distributing copies of the Constitution, Preamble to the Constitution, and other patriotic literature, and other efforts to educate their community about the Constitution.
Our chapter donates time to weed and clean up the Central Maine Veterans Memorial Park in Winslow, Maine.
Fort Halifax Chapter, NSDAR, Daughters attended the
Patriots Parade in Lexington, Massachusetts.
We honored our Patriots at the Fort Halifax Days in July.
