Burnt Meadow Chapter, NSDAR
Burnt Meadow Chapter, NSDAR, located in Sabattus, Maine, was organized on April 17, 1948, with 14 members. “Burnt Meadow” was the name given to the territory known as Webster by the early settlers. This land was burned over each year by the Indians and kept free from woodland growth for a camping ground between the Androscoggin and Kennebec Rivers.
In 2016, the Burnt Meadow Chapter, NSDAR merged with the Mary Dillingham Chapter, NSDAR to become the Mary Dillingham-Burnt Meadow Chapter, NSDAR.
