Mount Desert Isle Chapter NSDAR promotes education by sponsoring the DAR Good Citizens Award and the American History Essay Contests in our communities. In 2018, our chapter sponsored the sixth-grade state winner in the American History Essay Contest, and the student we sponsored for the Christopher Columbus Essay Contest was the state winner! Our Daughters have also spread the word of the new DAR Online Scholarship Application.
