  - Findagrave.com – This site provides many photographs of tombstones. The information on the stones can be used as a source but the memorial information cannot as it may not be verified.

  - General Land Office Records – This site provides live access to Federal land conveyance records for the Public Land States.
  - Hathi Trust Digital Library – This site contains local histories and family histories in digital format.

  - Library of Congress – This has several newspaper you can search for free.
  - National Archives – A list of searchable databases.
