Scholarships and Awards

Penobscot Expedition Chapter, NSDAR, Daughters take pride in supporting education and patriotism.  High schools throughout the nation select a DAR Good Citizen among senior classes to be honored by the local DAR chapter. Teachers will nominate three students who represent the qualities of service, leadership, dependability, and patriotism.  Their classmates vote for the one they feel best deserves the honor. Penobscot Expedition Chapter, NSDAR, gives two area students a DAR Good Citizens award, along with pins and certificates, a U.S. savings bond, and a book.  We honor these examples of high principles at our March meeting.
